I'm a happy camper!! Not a real camper 'cause camping to me is like staying at a Motel 6 or something, but I am wearing the back pack from Manis Lane at Mix&Match for the Step Up! Bid Box
I'm sure you have all seen bid boxes...they are created by the makes of Lucky Chairs...and they work like auctions, the bidder pays the box and the person with the highest bid at the end of the 24 hour auction period wins the item. Usually most stores just put in a special colour of one of thier items, or a wall item you can win at a lower price....but Lemania being Lemania, creates a new gown each month with only 30 copies put out for sale...when those are gone, that's it...each starts at 1L and they sell for whatever the highest bid goes for...be that less then 100L or 1,000L...both have happened.
Tonight is the end of our last Bid Box creation and tomorrow we start a new one...and here it is.....just for you...Blue Quartz!

My turn at the Skin/Shape Expo

Well,I finally got my turn in. LOL Seriously guys, deprim. I was running around bald, shoeless, and on one of those boxes, severely improved my fun. No one even mentioned the fact that I was bald. Didn't even seem to notice. You can do it too, and you don't have the big ears I do sticking out.

Speaking of big ears, Ivy Maverick of Maverick Designs was so generous to us. After snapping a picture of her she passed me her lovely Allure shape. Ivy has nice range of shapes, and she includes the style card in each one if you want the exact same look. So Allure with her style card looks like this:


Immediately I loved the face shape. But generally I stay away from new shapes. No mod means I can't have my ears. No worries, Ivy's are mod! So here's what I did with it:


Naturally I added my ears. I tend for the long lean look, even when short. This shape is taller and I didn't change that. I used the FreeSpeerit Kimberly skin on it. I really think the Kimberly skin accentuates her eyes and high cheekbones. I went lighter on skin tone and hair than I usually do and I think it pulled together really well. Total mods: slight thinning of the hips, my elf ears. That's it.



I mentioned I snapped a pic of Ivy. Her shape was also made by herself. Hers tends toward the more sophisticated buxom look. More curvy, fuller lips, on the short side, but not as short as I usually am. I'm not sure what skin she uses, though I should have asked, but my kids were tugging and pulling on me, so I tend to forget things

A quick trip around the fair netted me the goodies, and tons of demos to try on. I'll be returning for several when I have more money, but for now I grabbed 4 skins. I picked up the two 50L skims from Atelier. I think these look rather cute on my avatar

They give my avatar a nice innocent look, even if they are way paler than I usually go. I have a couple of ideas in mind for these skins.


Which brings me to my favorite skins. The Curio Breeze skins in Acorn. Here we have Cerulean and Mudslide in the light Acorn and I LOVE how these skins make me look in world. I couldn't come close to getting pictures that do these justice. I was only able to get these two, but there are 4 or 5 more I'll be returning for for sure. I love how sweet and innocent they make my av look. These skins are so realistic. The shading is awesome.

So there's my trip to the skin fair. BTW, there were some skins without demos. Skins I'd love to have if they look good on me.....what's up with that? New marketing ploy?
